Barnes Hockey Club - RECRUITING FOR 2011-2012 SEASON!

One of the biggest sports clubs in London, Barnes Hockey club boasts seven men's and seven women's teams ranging from ladies National League hockey through to lower level more social hockey. The club is friendly and very social and benefits from great facilities, including a brand new water-based astroturf located at Dukes Meadows, Chiswick. Check out their website

London Wayfarers Hockey Club

London Wayfarers are based in Battersea, South West London, and currently have a membership of around 200, fielding 13 sides (7 mens, 6 ladies) every Saturday.The standard of hockey they play varies widely throughout the club, with a very high standard being demonstrated by our 1st and 2nd XIs, ranging to a merely good level further down the club. West Hampstead hockey club

West Hampstead are a large & sociable hockey club (i.e. lots of weekend boozing disguised as sport) in central/North London. West Hampstead has 8 men’s teams and 6 ladies teams, and besides the main hockey season that run from mid-September, the club also has extensive mixed summer hockey plans with a combination of friendlies (vs. other clubs), 7-a-side tournaments and a few club days (particularly suited to those new to the club).

Wimbledon HC 

Wimbledon are a very friendly, social club, with something to offer anyone interested in playing hockey. The club offers 6 mens and 5 ladies sides, which play in a number of leagues ranging from National League (mens 1sts) right through to more social leagues, including Summer hockey. With Ben Marsden recently joining the coaching setup and several promotions throughout the club this season, Wimbledon is on the up! Guildford Hockey Club

Guildford currently runs 7 mens teams, 5 ladies teams and 7 colts teams. With regular social events and an award for most hospitable club it is a great place to play and also offers summer league hockey as well as the infamous LadyBoys Tour held at the club each summer. The Mens 1st XI play in the National League and have finished in the top 3 for each of the last 3 seasons. The excellent clubhouse overlooks the main water-based pitch and there is a second generation sand-dressed pitch just next door. See or email if you are interested in joining.

HAC Hockey Club

A very sociable club in the centre of the City, ideal for those who are keen to play a decent level of hockey but have no time to train. The HAC is always looking for new talent. Only training necessary is in the pub. Good social scene with a couple of fines beers either end of the season, come and have a run out, if you are interested. Contact Ed Short ( if interested.


BAC Ladies Hockey Club in Filton, Bristol. 

The club currently fields two teams. The Firsts play in the Northern division (about the same level as the UBLHC 2nds) of the West Women's League, and the Seconds play in the Brunel division (around the level of the UBLHC Thirds/Fourths). Both teams also play in Summer leagues, so it's almost all year round hockey.Home matches are played at Orchard School in Filton, which is also used for training during the main season every Tuesday evening 7-8.00pm. Easts Hockey Club (basically the Bondi team) 

Play in the Sydney metropolitan league and run 3 mens teams.  The standard is pretty good and the social is excellent.  They currently have 3 Bristol alumni and are always looking to pick up good players even if they are just passing through for a few months. Macquarie University Hockey Club 

Macquaire University are a club that encourage everyone from beginners through to professionals, with women's and men's teams catering to all levels of experience. The Club is highly competitive and our teams play at high levels in Sydney's hockey competitions, while enjoying considerable success over the years.
